You know that

Peperonata is a Sicilian side dish with a strong and intense flavour. With their strong personalities, peppers do not allow for half measures: you either love them or hate them. The best time to prepare it is in the summer when the peppers are at their best, fleshy, fragrant, firm and fresh from the field. There are many versions, as usual this is a family recipe handed down from generation to generation.

It can be a hearty vegetarian main course accompanied by crispy bread croutons and a sprig of parsley or a few mint leaves as a garnish. Ready to serve at the table, during a picnic or an aperitif. It can be served hot or cold.
