Peperonata, 280g

A classic Sicilian summer dish featuring peppers, potatoes, olives and onions. With its bursting, intense flavour, it is simply irresistible and ideal as a starter, an aperitif or a pic-nic.

You know that

Peperonata is a Sicilian side dish with a strong and intense flavour. With their strong personalities, peppers do not allow for half measures: you either love them or hate them. The best time to prepare it is in the summer when the peppers are at their best, fleshy, fragrant, firm and fresh from the field. There are many versions, as usual this is a family recipe handed down from generation to generation.

Peppers contain a good amount of vitamins, so eating a portion of yellow, red and green peppers provides you with vitamins C, B and protovitamin A. They are also a decent source of potassium. They are also a good source of potassium and very low in calories.

Ideal as a starter or side dish to accompany meat, sausage and fish, especially grilled. It can also accompany semi-aged and aged cheeses. It can be a hearty vegetarian main course accompanied by crispy bread croutons and a sprig of parsley or a few mint leaves as a garnish. Ready to serve at the table, during a picnic or an aperitif. It can be served hot or cold.
