La Mora bio x 12, 500ml

A 12-box is perfect to avoid running out of our La Mora organic extra virgin olive oil. Obtained from olives cultivated in the gentle hills of the south-east of Sicily in the Val di Noto area, harvested manually in five hectares of organic olive groves, it is cold pressed immediately after harvest. Our La Mora extra vergin olive oil is not filtered and it is bottled only after a period of decantation in stainless steel silos under nitrogen. It gives a special twist to your fish and meat dishes, to salads and soups and to season pasta, rice and couscous.

The extra virgin olive oil is at the heart of the Mediterranean diet, where life expectancy is higher precisely because of the diet. In countries with the highest consumption of extra virgin olive oil (Italy and Greece), in fact, people live longer. Not surprisingly, it is also called the elixir of life.
The EVO oil:

Poultices of pure olive oil or in addition to other oils release antioxidant, emollient and nourishing components that are absorbed by our body and put into circulation, benefiting the whole body.

European regulations (EEC Regulation 2568/91 and subsequent updates) set minimum quality standards that olive oil must meet to be marketed as ‘Extra Virgin Olive Oil’. It must be obtained by extraction using only mechanical methods. The acidity of an extra virgin oil must never exceed 0.8%. In fact, acidity, i.e. the concentration of free fatty acids, is one of the fundamental parameters for assessing the quality of oil.
