La Mora is our 100% certified organic extra virgin olive oil obtained from olives cultivated in the gentle hills of the south-east of Sicily in the Val di Noto area, harvested manually in five hectares of organic olive groves.
Cold pressed immediately after harvest, our EVO oil is not filtered and it is bottled only after a period of decantation in stainless steel silos under nitrogen.

La Mora is an extra virgin olive oil EVO oil with its own character. In cooking, it expresses with great flexibility: it goes well with salads, grilled white and red meats, legume soups and grilled vegetables.


La Mora extra virgin olive oil comes from a family estate located at about 400-500 metres above sea level blessed by a good amount of sun all year round, located in the baroque valley of  Noto, listed as UNESCO Heritage Site since 2002.

La Mora is a blend between two Sicilian cultivars: Moresca accounts for the 80% of the blend, the rest is Nocellara del Belice. We strip manually, usually from September to October. Extraction method is via Pieralisi equipment on a continuous mechanical cycle and a cold extraction process. No addition of water during the separation of the oil from the olive residues and no filtering.

The extra virgin olive oil from the Moresca cultivar abounds in polyphenols and is therefore a healthy and very beneficial food for health.
Bright green in colour, La Mora shows medium to strong fruitness, hints of tomato, cut grass and artichoke, medium to intense spiciness and a delicate sharp taste.

La Mora is 100% certified organic with the CCPB Certification Authority code DD92.
